Occupational Safety Specialist
The occupational safety specialist – known in Germany as “SiFa” – advises you as an employer on everything related to safety at work. They identify hazards, propose solutions and check whether those solutions work. Responsibility stays with management; the specialist makes sure you can carry that responsibility on a solid basis.
How many hours of support your company needs is set out in DGUV Regulation 2 – depending on the number of employees and how hazardous the work in your sector is. We calculate this for you and turn it into a fixed annual plan.

Frequently asked questions
Does the specialist have to be our employee?
No. You can have your own staff trained or appoint an external provider. For small and mid-sized companies the external option is usually cheaper and available straight away.
How many hours do we need?
With more than ten employees, the basic support is the number of employees times a factor of 0.5 to 2.5 hours per year, depending on the sector. This time is shared between the safety specialist and the company doctor, plus a company-specific share.
Do you also provide the company doctor?
Occupational medicine is provided by physicians. We coordinate closely with your company doctor and help you find one if you do not have one yet.
What does an external safety specialist cost?
The price depends on the hours resulting from DGUV Regulation 2. You receive a fixed annual price – no surprises on the invoice.
How often do you visit the company?
We set this in the annual plan. Quarterly walk-throughs are typical, plus the safety committee. We come additionally for alterations, accidents or new machines.
Do you support companies with several sites?
Yes. We also support sites spread across Germany with one contact person and uniform documentation.
What happens during an inspection by the authority or insurer?
We prepare the documents, accompany the appointment on request and help implement any requirements on time.
