The duty starts early
The Occupational Safety Act requires safety support as soon as a company has employees. Part-time staff, mini-jobbers and apprentices all count.
In-house or external?
You can have your own staff trained as specialists or appoint an external provider. Training takes a long time and ties up staff; for most small and mid-sized companies the external option is more economical.
What happens without one?
The authority or insurer can order an appointment and impose fines. More serious: after an accident you lack proof that you took your duties seriously.
