What is it about?
DGUV Regulation 2 is an accident-prevention regulation of the German statutory accident insurers. It defines how companies must be supported by a safety specialist and a company doctor.
Companies with up to ten employees
Small companies have simplified options: standard support with basic and occasion-based support – e.g. for new machines – or the entrepreneur model, where the owner receives training.
Companies with more than ten employees
Here it is calculated: employees times a factor. Depending on the sector the factor is 0.5, 1.5 or 2.5 hours per year. This basic support is shared between safety specialist and company doctor, each with at least 20 percent. A company-specific share is added on top.
