Three duties for clients

The Construction Site Ordinance lists prior notice, safety plan and coordinator. Which apply depends on the size and hazards of the site – and whether several firms are involved.

The key thresholds

Prior notice is required if the site lasts more than 30 working days with more than 20 people working at the same time – or if it exceeds 500 person-days. A coordinator is mandatory as soon as employees of several employers are on site.

Transferring duties

You can transfer the tasks to a qualified third party. What matters is a written contract with clearly described services.
